In a significant stride towards enhancing legal proficiency, the University of the Philippines (UP) conducted a specialized training and capacity-building seminar from October 23 to 27, 2023. This event, orchestrated by the Office of the Vice President for Legal Affairs, received invaluable support from the UP Office of the President and the UP Law Center’s Institute for Administration of Justice. Notably, this seminar secured accreditation from the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE), further underlining its relevance and high standard of content. This includes discussion on intellectual property, procurement, agrarian reform, delineation of authority, gender-based negotiation and mediation, including updates in education law and jurisprudence.

The seminar was meticulously crafted to cater to the unique needs of Legal Offices within UP’s constituent universities. Recognizing the dynamic nature of legal practice, the sessions were designed to provide practical insights and updates on key legal facets impacting academic institutions.

The MCLE accreditation bestowed upon the seminar signifies its alignment with the rigorous standards set by the Supreme Court of the Philippines. Attendees can be assured that their participation not only contributes to their professional development but also fulfills their MCLE requirements, adding a distinctive mark of excellence to the event.

The success of the seminar was made possible through the collaborative support of the UP Office of the President and the UP Law Center’s Institute for Administration of Justice.
